Hi, I’m Jenna and I love making things!
I’m a multi-disciplinary artist and mother of 4, currently living in regional NSW.
For as long as I've had hands, I've been using them to make things. As a multi-passionate lover of many crafts, I tried the 'niche down' method several times over the last 15 years: I ran a photography business, started a handmade clothing label, sold seasonal faith-based artefacts for people's homes, sold pieces of art out of my home studio, built custom furniture... and took on many other private projects for clients. All of these different stints were super enjoyable, BUT…
As my creative practice has grown and evolved, I've learned that I work best when I spread myself broadly and throw out the concept of 'niching down'.
I enjoy mixing media, playing with the boundaries between disciplines, and letting the knowledge and techniques from one craft spill over and saturate another. I am absolutely in love with the creativity that results from this process and, in a very deep and soul-nourishing way, I am in love with the process itself. Creative work, for me, is a way to build virtue, solve problems, touch the depths of the soul, and participate in God’s divine life in a very real and tangible way.
I seek excellence in everything that I make, from the big picture and design/concept down to very small details. I hope that everything I make is of exceptionally high quality and beauty. I believe in the power of handmade objects to shape our daily experiences, I believe that experiences of beauty are transformative, and I endeavour to join people with beautiful items and environments that mean something to them, lift their souls heavenward, and express something of who they are.
As well as making stuff, my other big passion in life is HUMAN BEINGS.
I thoroughly enjoy getting to know other people, discovering what they love and collaborating with others to bring their unique visions to life. Some of the most fun projects I’ve been blessed to work on over the years have been the ones which resulted from someone seeing my work and then reaching out to say ‘can you please make me something?’.
If any of my work resonates with you, if you would like to purchase anything I've made, if you have any questions for me, or if you'd like to collaborate with me on a custom project - you're in the right place.
